At the first contact with the patient and in order for the cardiologist specialist to have a clear picture, it is very important:

- Taking a detailed medical and family history through which risk factors from lifestyle and diet, underlying diseases and medications already taken by the patient, diseases of relatives and hereditary predisposition will be investigated.

- The cardiac examination.

- A clinical examination through which:

•     Identification of the patient's symptoms, detection of cardiovascular risk factors.
•     Finding indicative signs of underlying heart disease through examination and with the help of imaging tests performed in the clinic.

Based on these, the cardiologist will be able to have a fairly clear picture and indications of the patient's condition and decide either the medication, or some additional tests if needed or even suggest some necessary intervention.
